Saturday, April 17 - Wednesday, April 21: this hotel room was our new home.
I don't know what we would've done without a mini fridge that week! It allowed us to food shop and not blow more money eating out at every meal.
5:37 am on Thursday, April 22nd: Late last night we were able to finally find a flight home! But it's from London. So we had to get up quite early and head to Waverly station to catch a train out of Scotland. We waited paitently here for the 5:50 train to Kings Cross... and at 5:49 it was canceled.
6:10 am: There was room on the 6 o'clock train, so we ran to that one instead and saw the sun rise from the train.
8:50 am: These just kinda reminded me of all the volcano pictures we'd been seeing on the news all week.
10:56 am: Back to King's Cross station, and onto the Underground to head to Heathrow. We were feeling a bit crazy at this point.
11:41 am: Our train was unexpectedly terminated before it got to the airport. So out we go onto another platform to wait for the next one.
12:48 pm: Finally at Heathrow! But we can't check out luggage until 3:30, so it's 3 hours of waiting on hard chairs.
4:18 pm: Through security and now just waiting for a plane to be assigned a gate and hoping that it's not suddenly delayed or canceled. We walked around a lot and stopped for a bit of food.
4:50 pm: Evidently they're much bolder with their smoking warnings in Britian.
4:51 pm: I suppose these should've gone in the Harry Potter and Lost gallery.
6:22 pm: HOLY CRAP WE'RE ON A PLANE. GET ME OUTTA HERE!
1:46 am GMT, 8:46 pm EST: AGH THESE SEATS ARE SO UNCOMFORTABLE AND WE ARE BECOMING DELIRIOUS.
9:52 pm EST: YES! We are on the ground! The luggage is coming!
11:25 pm EST: Linus just finished licking my beard. All is right in the world.
